Kim R. Wilson

Kim R. Wilson, one of the founding trustees of the Mormon Historic Sites Foundation, is the current Chairman of the Board.

Kim was born in Logan, Utah but raised milking cows in Preston, Idaho. By some accounts, he is Napolean Dynamite.

Following service in the Canadian Mission (Ontario and Quebec), he earned a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Utah and a J.D. from the S.J. Quinney School of Law. He is a senior attorney with the Salt Lake City lawfirm of Snow, Christensen and Martineau where is specializes in business litigation. He accepted appointment from the Utah Supreme Court to serve the legal profession as Chairman of the Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah State Bar with responsibility for enforcement of the Rules of Professional Conduct among Utah’s licensed lawyers.

Kim has served in various positions in the Church. He is currently High Priest Group leader in his Salt Lake City Avenues ward.

Kim has been a lifetime student of Church History and has taken personal delight in the work of the Foundation over nearly two decades in preserving and perpetuating the rich history of the Restoration. When not engaged in his law practice and the work of the Foundation, he enjoys spending time with his family and digging a few postholes at his ranch in Cache Valley. He loves to read, travel, and build model wooden sailing ships.

Kim has given countless hours in devoted service to the Foundation. The Board is grateful for his dynamic leadership and genuine interest and desire in helping to develop and preserve historic sites sacred to the memory of the Latter-day Saints.
