Jeffrey N. Walker

Jeff joined the Mormon Historic Sites Foundation in 1996 as a trustee and currently serves on its executive committee as treasurer.

Raised in Michigan, Jeff served a mission in the Canada-Montréal mission. Upon his return he completed a bachelor of science degree in political science from Western Michigan University, magna cum laude, in 1985. Jeff earned his law degree, cum laude, from the J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he served as an editor for the BYU Law Review. He practiced in Los Angeles with one of the largest west coast law firms before joining the Salt Lake City law firm of Jones, Waldo, Holbrook & McDonough. Jeff has worked as general counsel for a regional healthcare company, a national consultant for Lexis/Nexis, as well as a founding member of the law firm, Holman & Walker.

He has been recognized as an expert in the implementation of computer technology in law firms, having designed legal software, written in the field and lectured on it throughout the country. He is currently president and co-owner of Western Architectural Services, a thematic manufacturing company located in Draper, Utah.

His Church service includes many callings at the ward and stake levels. He is currently teaching in the Department of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University and is the Project Manager for the legal and business series of the Joseph Smith Papers.

He is married to the former Elizabeth Hepburn and they have four children and four dogs.

Jeff has overseen all financial aspects of the Foundation, as well handling the Foundation's tax and nonprofit issues. He actively worked on the Kirtland flats project for more than five years and currently serves as Manager for the Foundation's Mormon Historic Studies.
