Robert S. Clark

Robert S. Clark

Rob was reared in Mesa, Arizona, and served a mission to Kentucky and Tennessee. He attended Brigham Young University as a Joseph Fielding Smith Scholar and graduated with high honors with a major in history. In 1980, he received a law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School and was named a J. Reuben Clark Scholar. He also served as an editor of Brigham Young University Law Review. He worked for several years as an attorney at O'Melveny and Myers in Los Angeles, California, and is currently a member of the Salt Lake City law firm of Parr Waddoups Brown Gee and Loveless. He specializes in corporate litigation and related matters.

Community and professional service is important to Rob, who has served as President of the Federal Bar Association's Utah Chapter. He also recently concluded a term as President of the BYU Law School Alumni Association. With a passion for Church History, he served as General Counsel and a member of the Board for the Mormon Trail Wagon Trail-150 Years. His Church service includes many callings at the ward and stake levels, and he has also served on various Church curriculum writing committees. He is co-author of two books, Journal of the Trail and Fathers and Sons in the Book of Mormon.

The Clark family includes Rob's wife Wendy Williams Clark (a native of Idaho Falls, Idaho) and their seven children. Rob is a dedicated member of the Mormon Historic Sites Foundation board and feels a deep commitment to the preservation of important historic sites.
